Tell about Rishikesh?

Hrsikesa word implies the name of Lord Vishnu which has come from the word “hrsika” which means senses and “isa” means Lord, thus Lord of the Sense.

In the month of July a festival called Saavan is celebrated, for which many people visit this place so Rishikesh is crowded during this time of the year.

The interesting fact of this place is that it is also the “Yoga Capital of the World” due to many yoga marrow . There is attractive force for tourist and visitors in the city because most believe that if someone is meditating, then the someone will come closer to the level of getting redemption after wash up in the Ganges.

There is another story attached that Raibhaiya Rishi did his tapasya, that’s why it is known as Lord Hrishikesha.
