What is Press Conference mean ?

a prearranged interview with news reporters, held to elicit publicity or, as granted by a dignitary, public official, research scientist, etc., to fulfill a request from the press.

1. "This is quite a gathering. Wow, that's a lot of people, a lot of media."

2. "They would like to see me lose an election because they've never been challenged like this."
