The wife can file a complaint against husband under Section 498A, IPC, The Hindu Marriage Act, 195 and the Domestic Violence Act, 2005. ... Dhanuka wherein he said that on such a ground, the husband is entitled to file a petition for divorce from her wife. IPC does not define the term cruelty

Causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others.—Whoever causes grievous hurt to any person by doing any act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life, or the personal safety of others, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years

Section 201 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 deals with Causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender.

A offers a bribe to B, a public servant, as a reward for showing A some favour in the exercise of B's official functions. B accepts the bribe. A has abetted the offence defined in section 161. ... A is guilty of abetting that offence by conspiracy, and is liable to the punishment for murder.

Some people still believe that this is the case. However, you can get a divorce without the consent of your spouse in every state. Contrary to the myth, one spouse's lack of consent does not normally delay or complicate a divorce.

A dowry case ideally should be filed within 7 years of marriage for a dowry claim to be won in the court. Though people file dowry cases even after 7/10/15 years of marriage, they will lose the case if the dowry case is beyond 7 years of marriage

Section 306 in The Indian Penal Code. 306. Abetment of suicide.—If any person commits suicide, whoever abets the commission of such suicide, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
