There are a large number of institutes and colleges that provide Hotel Management courses at the degree and diploma level. At present there are 21 Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) promoted by Central Government, Ministry of Tourism, and Government of India

Certificate courses can be of six months to one year duration, a diploma of two years and a degree course of three year duration.
