I wish I had more direction with the way to make money from pinning on pinterest. I have a few affiliate posts circulating but I haven't hit the stride yet.

It takes a LOT of time. I've tried Pinterest affiliate marketing in the past and it's HARD. I got hundreds of clicks on my pins but sadly, no conversions My advice is to be patient, and make sure your pins look good.

Really pay attention to what kind of content your audience engages with on Pinterest. Either try to create content answering what they're engaging with, OR if it's your own post then make sure that post is optimized for affiliate sales.

As for making affiliate sales through Pinterest, I've only tried low commission items so far. But I thought about my audience - millennials who like to travel - and circulated items that they would like on my Pinterest boards.
