He then joined the Indian National Congress and worked under the leadership of Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, who later became his political guru. He opposed the Dominion Status for India declared by the Congress under the guidance of the Motilal Nehru Committee. They were in favor of complete independence and nothing else.

After bein released, he worked with Jawarharlal Nehru for independence. He emerged as mayor of Calcutta in 1930. He wrote a book titled the Indian Struggle which was published in 1935.

In the year 1923, people elected Bose as the President of All India Youth Congress and also the Secretary of Bengal State Congress.

In 1930, during the Civil Disobedience he was sent to jail and released only after the Gandhi-Irwin pact was signed in 1931.

He later on accepted for the Nomination of president of India. He did gave a lot of contributions to the Indian freedom. However, due to unexplained reasons, he died on 18 august, 1945.

British government elected Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose sent to prison in Mandalay, where he contracted tuberculosis in 1925.

Subash Chandra Bose was exiled from India to Europe; he took advantage of this opportunity and tried to establish political and cultural ties between India and Europe by forming centers in the various capital cities of Europe.

Although Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was opposed to Gandhi ji’s philosophies, he still used to call him’Patriot of Patriots”. This honor was commendable as Bose really did commit fully to the cause of Indian Independence.

He was jailed for a year for not obeying the ban on his entry to India.

There was no sacrifice that he didn’t make for his nation. Till this day he is regarded as one of the most patriotic idols to inspire thousands of young men and women. His political views were complete freedom for India whereas other leaders wanted it to happen in phases through a dominion status.

In late December 1928, Subhash Chandra Bose organised the Annual Meeting of the Indian National Congress in Calcutta.

Congress was elected in seven states during the general elections of 1937 and he was released.

A little later, British government arrested Bose and jailed him for civil disobedience.

When Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose realized that the British Government would have to be forced hard to leave India, he decided that his enemy’s enemy was his friend and visited Germany and Japan to get their assistance. With the help of Japan he was able to form the Azad Hind Fauj that fought against the Allied forces in South East Asia. Along with the Japanese army they brought independence to Andaman and Nicobar Islands and came to Manipur.

Defying the ban on his entry to India, Subash Chandra Bose returned to India and was again arrested and sent to jail for a year. After the General Elections of 1937, Congress came to power in seven states and he was released.

After British government released him from the from jail, he Bose travelled in Europe. There, he visited Indian students and European politicians, including Benito Mussolini.

There was one incident where regarded as a brave person, once Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose even refused to obey the custom of carrying his umbrella while meeting the Governor General at his office after being successful in Indian Civil Services examination. When the Governor General objected at this scene, he asked him to explain his behavior.

During his earlier visit to Germany in 1934, he had met Emilie Schenkl, the daughter of an Austrian veterinarian whom he married in 1937. Their daughter is Anita Bose Pfaff.

Next year he was elected as the President of the Haripura Congress Session. He took a very stern decision and brought a resolution and asked Britishers to hand India over to the Indians within six months.

In 1941, with a daring escape from house arrest in India, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose went from Kolkata to Gomo by a car and from there to Peshawar by train. He went to Kabul and from there he traveled to Germany to seek help for India’s independence from Adolf Hitler.

He also researched and wrote the first part of his book The Indian Struggle, which covered the country’s independence movement in the years 1920–1934.

Following opposition to his rigid stand, he resigned from the post of president and formed the Forward Block.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born in year 1897, to Janaki Nath Bose and Prabhabati Bose. Netaji had 13 siblings: Pramilabala mitra, Saralabala Dey and 11 other siblings. He was married to a beautiful Austrian women Emille Shinken. Her daughter name was Anita Bose who became a popular economist in Germany.
